Friends of the Library -
The Friends of the Library is an organization that supports your local
library. The Friends organize booksales, programs, author readings and more to promote and
support your library. Money raised is used to purchase books, supplies, equipment and
support summer reading programs. To join: $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family. Just
complete the application below and mail it to:

Volunteer -
The library can
always use voluteers to shelve, cover books, straighten shelves, help with summer reading
programs and more. If you are interested in volunteering contact either the Halifax or
South Boston Library.
Donate -
Books - Books are accepted
on behalf of the Friends of the Library throughout the year. These (as all gifts) are tax
deductable and will be either used in the collection or sold in the booksale to raise
money for the library.
Time -Volunteering helps the library provide
services that the staff might otherwise not have time to provide. Contact your library for
information.
Money - Tax deductable contributions make
special events, such as summer reading, and services, such as wireless internet access
possible. The library would like to think the following for their generous contributions:
