We want to wish Paul Johnson a cheerful retirement and enjoyable kayaking! Paul started with the Halifax County - South Boston Regional Library in 1990 and served as Director from 2001 through April 2008. Under his leadership, the library catalog was made available online and patronage increased by 50%.
Also a published author, Paul’s book Pell Mellers: Race and Memory in Carolina Pocosin, is available for sale at the Halifax Public Library through the Friends of the Library and at the Museum. We wish him the best in his retirement. He will certainly be missed.
