Halifax County South Boston Public Library System
FY 2016 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN GOING STRONG
We have reached the 60% mark in our fundraising campaign. In FY 2015 the library received over $9,000 total in donations and this year we have set our goal at $12,000. The funds will be used to support library collections, programs, technology, and the Local History Room. Donation forms are available in both libraries. Information about the fundraising campaign has been posted on the library's Facebook page.

POP UP BOOK SALES APRIL 28 AND APRIL 29 AT HALIFAX AND SOUTH BOSTON
Both branches will be having pop up book sales on April 28 and April 29. Pop up book sales start suddenly, sell books quickly, and then they are over. Prices during the sale will be rock bottom: $1 for hardbacks and DVDs and .25 cents for paperbacks. These prices are temporary and only for this sale. The sale will be going on during the normal hours of operation for both libraries.
THE LIBRARY IS NOT ACCEPTING DONATED BOOKS AT THIS TIME
Due to the Friends of the Library having to relocate their donated book storage area the library is not accepting donated books at this time. Please save your donations as we hope to be able to once again accept them by the end of the summer.
The library is participating in the 2016 DASH for the STASH. Learn more about this program at http://www.iinvest.org/programs/dash-for-the-stash/
